RDM-INVERTED REFLEX
OUR SUPPLIER IS BASED IN ITALY AND PRODUCES IN ITALY.
THIS IS TO ASSURE NOT ONLY PERFORMANCE BUT ALSO SAFETY IN THE HARDEST CONDITIONS.
Thanks to update of new machineries,
we were able to work out a new finish from our masts and introduce new technology in the constructions.
2 versions only, to simplify and offer only the best.
Once you take out the mast from its mast bag, do not be thinking that something is wrong.
The ferrule is part of the top, and not part of the bottom anymore.
Therefore, the rdm is now being called RDM-I.
After testing with our wave team, the masts, we have discovered that landing hard flat or nosedive jumps, was creating extra stress to the top, where the ferrule would enter it.
By having the ferrule being part of the top,
the stress is taken out and the tops do not suffer the extra stress that could bring in the worst case to breakages.
We have decided to clean up our RDM-I range by offering 2 very distinctive models.
The K87 and the K97. 87% carbon mast to bring a durable mast with the highest carbon % possible.
A 100% carbon mast is the K97, but with extra reinforcements to give the extra durability to the normal 100%,
making itself a 97% carbon mast.
A new rubber cap at the joints, to clean up the inside part of the mast from dirt, while uniting the top to the base.

Χαρακτηριστικα
K97 CARBON MAST:
The best possible performance for your sail for tough riders and conditions.
Great pumping response, acceleration, light feel and absorption of the hardest conditions for optimal comfort and control.
Extra reinforcements added to increase strength for toughest conditions.
Inverted ferrule for higher balance and structural strength.
Knowing the mast will used in waves and strong wind slalom,
we made sure to add the extra reinforcements to increase strength for toughest conditions.
Bringing a 100% mast close to the durability of an 80% carbon mast.
WHY THIS MAST:
No compromise in its performance. Best reflex and light weight. If you choose this mast, it’s because you want to have the best possible product on the market. Probably the lightest mast with this percentage.
The truth about mast curves
We often believe that the carbon content percentage from the mast is the main important thing.
The truth is that it’s better to have the correct curve, rather than any random 100% carbon mast with the wrong curve.
The mast is not only about the Imcs,
which is the central stiffness, but also mainly about the curve percentage of the base and of the top.
These curves are what classify a mast to be flex top of constant curve. The percentages do not give only these two options.
There are many combinations, which different brands can use, to fit their development needs through the mast.
For example, a flex top mast can be more flex top than another mast.
BASE
The lower the percentage value, the stiffer the base. The higher the percentage value, the softer the base.
IMCS
The lower the value of IMCS, the softer the feel of the mast. The higher the IMCS value, the stiffer the feel of the mast.
TOP
The lower the percentage value, the stiffer the top. The higher the percentage value, the softer the top.
RESULTS ON THE WATER
BASE
A softer base creates less profile in the lower part of the sail, but donates more comfort against rough waters. A stiffer the base of the mast, obtains more drive and power.
IMCS
The IMCS works as a transition value from the base to the top of the mast. It’s a value that allows the sail to feel stiffer or softer. A good compromise to make the sail feel comfortable according to its size, it is giving a good feedback.
TOP
A softer top to allow the sails to breath, and gives the extra edge while pumping in light wind. A stiffer top of the mast, would allow more stability in rough conditions.
OUR MAST CURVE CHARACTERISTICS
BASE
Our shorter masts are softer base, so higher curve percentage value from standard, to allow more comfort. While our longer masts have stiffer bases, so a lower percentage value to allow more power and drive..
IMCS
If we have a stiff base, we often try to go slightly softer in the IMCS than the standards normally offered. This gives a good synergy between the base and central part of the mast to express the best performance and comfort. The same is done on soft bases, we make sure that the IMCS is slightly stiffer to compensate the softer base.
TOP
In our case, our shorter masts are having a stiffer top, so a lower percentage curve value to allow more stability. Our longer mast have often softer tops, so a higher percentage value to allow more breathing and light feel on the higher part of the sail.
